Betway, the renowned online casino and sports betting platform, will be the Official Partner of Major League Cricket (MLC) for its inaugural season in 2023. The highly anticipated T20 series known as “Major League Cricket Powered by Betway” kicked off on July 13th and will end on July 31st. The matches are hosted in two distinguished venues: the Grand Prairie Stadium in Texas and the Church Street Park in North Carolina. Anthony Werkman, CEO of Betway, expressed his pride in powering the inaugural Major League Cricket, highlighting the company’s commitment to supporting the growth of cricket in the US and beyond.

The series will feature six competing teams: Los Angeles Knight Riders, MI New York, San Francisco Unicorns, Seattle Orcas, Texas Super Kings, and Washington Freedom. These teams will battle it out in 18 matches to earn a spot in the highly anticipated MLC Championship Final. The inaugural edition of Major League Cricketwill feature as many as 13 South African cricketers competin for the various franchises. Texas Super Kings will have the services of three South African players, namely – Faf du Plessis, David Miller nd Gerald Coetzee. Similarly, MI New York have three South African cricketers in their squad – – Dewald Brevis, Kagiso Rabada and David Wiese
