BOS Ice Tea, the renowned South African rooibos brand celebrated for its vibrant cans of iced tea, has joined forces with Springbok captain Siya Kolisi, his wife Rachel, and the Kolisi Foundation. Together, they’ve unveiled Siya Kolisi’s Limited Edition BOS can, and with every can purchased, BOS will contribute 5% of the turnover to the Kolisi Foundation.

The Limited Edition can’s beadwork design draws its inspiration from Kolisi’s Xhosa heritage. The campaign conveys the powerful message that “we are all brewed for greatness,” encompassing themes such as discovering joy and connection, appreciating individuals as unique masterpieces, and exploring the potential each of us holds to make a meaningful impact.

“This is more than just a can,” Kolisi emphasized. “It’s a gateway to numerous opportunities, opening doors within the communities we serve. The support generated through this initiative could provide aid to a woman or offer a warm meal to a child. These are the very challenges I faced growing up, and this endeavor will contribute to making young lives, like mine, a little brighter.”

In late 2022, Bos Brands secured growth equity from an investment consortium, which includes Siya Kolisi, his wife, business director, and CEO of the Kolisi Foundation, Rachel Kolisi, the Banducci family (which includes the CEO of Woolworths Australia), and a follow-on investment by the Ferguson family in the UK. After its launch in South Africa in mid-2010, Bos Brands entered the European market in 2013, introducing its Rooibos iced tea in the Netherlands, France, and Belgium. The investment will be utilized to facilitate the expansion of the Bos Ice Tea brand into the UK, building upon its established presence in Europe.
